   Thanks, as ever for the post. I was wondering if you could help me out with an earlier listing. I’ve been keeping track of them and trying to learn them and find I have only the phonetic transcription for one – not the OE spelling, nor the definition. I’ve checked through your book of course too, but don’t see it. The phonetic transcription reads: (OND-WEE / ˈand-ˌwiːj).

   • That would be and-wīg. It’s a neuter noun meaning ‘resistance’.
