1. This is curious. What is a limb key made of and used for? Is it animal limbs and perhaps for decorative purposes?

   • Curious indeed! I wish I knew the answer. It’s a hapax, appearing only once in the OE corpus, and is in a poem that describes God locking the way into Mary behind him with a metaphorical key (how she was able to conceive without having sex).
