folc-lār, f.n: homily, literally ‘people-lore’ or ‘people-instruction’. (FOLK-LAHR / ˈfɔlk-ˌlaːr)

A medieval manuscript page written in Old English; midway down there is a slightly larger letter G and further down a large decorative M in red.
