mere-torr, m.n: a tower formed by the sea (the walls formed by the waters of the Red Sea). (MEH-reh-TOR / ˈmɛ-ɹɛ-ˌtɔɹ)

A manuscript page shows many soldiers on horseback trapped in a towering wave of water. Their spears and the tops of their helmets still poke out the top of the wave.
