sceatt, m.n: piece of money, coin. (SHEH-aht / ˈʃɛat)

The front and back of a silver coin: on one side is a ‘porcupine’ bust and on the other is a square standard with beaded border, annulet at centre with V to either side, a pellet in each corner of the standard, and to one side of the standard a V with pellet above.
